VITAMEX GROUP TAKES MAJORITY STAKE IN PRECONEX SP

80% stake in Belgian company obtained

DRONGEN/VEGHEL – On 25 January 2010 Cehave Landbouwbelang subsidiary Vitamex group in Drongen, Belgium, has acquired 80% of the stake in the Belgian company Preconex SP. The other 20% remains the property of the former owner. This acquisition enables Vitamex to strengthen its position in the markets where Preconex is well represented.

Take-over  The acquisition of 80% of the stake in Preconex fits well within the Vitamex strategy of wanting to be present in developing and emerging markets. With this take-over the company aims at strengthening its position in markets where Preconex is active. Vitamex wants to supply these markets with concentrates as well as specialty products that add value to the production of feedstuffs.

 Preconex  Preconex is a well-known premix and concentrate producer which exports its products to more than 20 countries. Preconex disposes of a well-established concentrate plant in Willebroek, Belgium, a unique location for exporting concentrates at low logistic costs. Preconex has great confidence in its future and further development of the company through its partnership with Vitamex.

 In line with Cehave Landbouwbelang strategy  The take-over of the 80% stake in Preconex is completely in line with the Cehave Landbouwbelang mission and strategy: adding value for customers and employees, by further international expansion of profitable feed activities.
