One of the most important goals of Cehave Landbouwbelang is the ongoing development and innovative application of its feed knowledge on the farm. This approach enables the company to work continuously on lowering the cost price of the end products to its customers. 

CCL Research & Development
CCL is a STERLAB (accredited by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA)) recognised on a European level that is, in particular, involved with high-quality research and development in the production chain of food fit for human and animal consumption. Cehave Landbouwbelang works closely together with CCL BV in relation to its research & development activities. The nutritional institute, with the experimental farm Laverdonk, is integrated in CCL.

One of the most important innovations in the mixed feed industry during the last few years has been the successful introduction of Air Line® pig feed that has, in the meantime, been patented. This feed has led to an immediately measurable higher result. The new technique is currently only being used in the Netherlands and will be further developed and, if possible, will be made suitable for other animal sectors.

A lot of R&D is directed towards realising higher milk protein production levels in the dairy sector. Several concepts have been developed that can be used to control processes with a specific goal in mind in relation to required fat, protein and milk production. We are working with a clear goal in mind to attain better health, fertility and a longer life span with the Durability Plan.

The R&D efforts are geared towards sophisticated feed programmes in the poultry sector which ensure we can steer on results. With Vitamex's Aroma Biotic® Cehave Landbouwbelang has an excellent innovative and patented replacement in house for antimicrobial growth promoters (antibiotics; banned in Europe since January 2006) in animal feed.
